This fully automatic directional antenna gimbal integrates a high-performance IP MESH data module, 433MHz LoRa telemetry, full-constellation GPS tracking, and military-grade AES256 encryption — delivering a productized, system-level solution for ultra-long-range unmanned aerial vehicle and FPV operations where conventional communication links fail.

ATS10 UAV Antenna Tracking System 110km BVLOS automatic directional gimbal

In ultra-long-range BVLOS UAV Antenna Tracking System deployments, high-gain directional antennas are essential to enhance wireless signal reception. However, the fundamental engineering challenge is that higher antenna gain correlates with narrower lobe width, requiring precise real-time aiming as the aircraft maneuvers across vast operational areas. The ATS10 BVLOS UAV Antenna Tracking System solves this through a fully automatic tracking gimbal that calculates optimal pointing angles from airborne GPS telemetry, ensuring the ground panel antenna maintains continuous alignment with the UAV for maximum wireless reception performance — dramatically extending transmission distance from typical 5-10km limits to 110km and beyond.

The ATS10 BVLOS UAV Antenna Tracking System is the critical range-extension infrastructure for Fixed-wing Platforms conducting cross-country corridor inspections, Multi-rotor Drones performing large-area agricultural mapping, and any mission requiring Long Range UAV Data Link connectivity across extreme distances. For command-and-control integration, pair with our UAV Control Station System, for all-day field operations deploy with our Outdoor Power Station Solution, and for comprehensive fleet deployment explore our UAV Industrial Solution services.

BVLOS UAV Antenna Tracking System Advanced System Architecture

1. Ultra-High Integration Multi-Module Platform
The ATS10 UAV Antenna Tracking System consolidates multiple mission-critical subsystems into a single, highly integrated platform. The integrated architecture includes an IP MESH data module for self-healing network connectivity, a 433MHz LoRa module for redundant telemetry backhaul, a full-constellation GPS receiver for precise position determination, and the automatic tracking gimbal mechanism — all housed within a rugged IP65 enclosure. This ultra-high integration design meets the demanding requirements of batch deployment in ultra-long-range unmanned aerial vehicle operations, reducing system complexity, minimizing field installation time, and ensuring consistent performance across multiple units in enterprise fleet applications.

2. IP MESH Self-Healing Network (MANET)
The integrated IP MESH data module implements a Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) architecture that supports up to 32 nodes with full transparent IP data transmission. Unlike conventional point-to-point links, the MESH topology enables dynamic routing around obstacles and interference sources, automatically discovering and maintaining optimal data paths as network topology changes. This self-healing capability is essential for BVLOS missions where terrain, buildings, or atmospheric conditions may intermittently obstruct direct line-of-sight communication. The system delivers data rates up to 56Mbps — sufficient for simultaneous HD video streaming, telemetry, and command-and-control data across the full 110km operational envelope.

3. Military-Grade Communication Security
The ATS10 supports both AES128 and AES256 encryption to protect mission-critical data from interception and unauthorized access. For operations in contested electromagnetic environments, the optional Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) mode delivers over 1,000 hops per second, making the signal extremely resistant to jamming and interception. The optional Intelligent Frequency Selection (IFS) capability continuously monitors spectrum occupancy and automatically selects the clearest channel — ensuring reliable communication even in dense RF environments crowded with competing signals.

4. Dual-Sensor High-Precision Tracking
The ATS10 achieves exceptional tracking accuracy through a dual-sensor architecture that combines GPS telemetry parsing with independent angular measurement. The system automatically calibrates at startup and initiates tracking immediately upon receiving valid airborne GPS coordinates. The ground station calculates precise azimuth and elevation pointing angles from the aircraft’s latitude, longitude, and altitude data, while the high-torque 30N*m steering gear and 360-degree twist-free slip ring ensure smooth, continuous antenna movement without cable wrap limitations. The ±2° angle accuracy ensures that the high-gain directional antenna maintains optimal alignment throughout all flight phases — from low-altitude takeoff to high-altitude cruise and extended-range transit.

5. Rapid Deployment for Fixed and Mobile Operations
The ATS10 features a portable quick-detachable structure design that supports both fixed-site and mobile deployment scenarios. For routine operations, the system can be positioned on a tripod at a permanent ground station location. For dynamic missions requiring operational flexibility, the suction cup mounting option enables rapid attachment to vehicles, maritime vessels, and temporary observation posts. This dual-deployment capability unleashes the full industry application value of drones across inspection, search-and-rescue, and surveillance missions that demand both range and mobility — transforming the ATS10 BVLOS UAV Antenna Tracking System from static infrastructure into a tactical asset that adapts to evolving mission requirements.
